If you're hosting an event, please be warned that recently we have seen a decrease in numbers attending them. If you want more people to attend your event, here's some promotional tips.
- Make a post in the GW2 forum about your event. There you have a chance to open your event up to the public, and you might also recruit more members for the Guild that way.
- For the brave, you can also go on the GW2 Reddit and advertise there. Be warned that people may criticise your event though.
- Mention it in the Guild every now and then! Remind people of it so they don't forget.
- If you want, you can also whisper some guild members that might be interested in it, in case they haven't seen it in the MoTD or the forum.
- The OpenCommunity TeamSpeak is a really good way of lettig people know you're doing an event. If you message the people that own it you can get your event put up in their calendar. Or, just go around the channels letting people know it's going on!
- Why not ask in our affiliated group, Kirins, if any of them want to join? This is only for if you are a part of their Guild, but it is a good idea to try.
- Shout it out into map chat about an hour before the event, and running up to it. Make a taxi just for the event. This will increase turn-up immensely.
Aaand, that's all I can think of! Enjoy!
